Reading Post
this week i read Wizard of Oz; the classic tale of Dorothy being taken in a storm and waking in the blissfull place of Oz. shes completely confused and unsure as to what had happened, but realizes she, "isn't in Kansas anymore." she had landed on the wicked which of the east, and now is the owner of the red ruby slippers. she is told by a beautiful angel figure to visit the wizard of oz if she wishes to return home. on her journey down the yellow brick road that the godmother had told her of , she meets the other main characters; the cowardly lion, the frightened scarecrow, and the heartless tin man. they all join the voyage in hopes that the wizard could help all of them. they run into a problem though, the wicked witch of the west is hunting her down through the story in order to gain back the slippers that Dorothy now processes. the witch hunts her down and takes her away from the trio she had gained on her trip, and now it is their job to save her before it is too late. they are successful and able to continue the journey, but once there at the emerald city, the home of the wizard, they are denied entrance at the doorway. Dorothy looses it and now is afraid she will never be able to go home to Kansas to see her family again. the tears she sheds causes the doorkeeper to breakdown and allow her admission to the city. the fantastic craziness found within the city explains as to why the city is isolated. shes in awe over the fantasies within the walls; the color changing horses, the miniature peoples, the riches galore. they meet the wizard deep within his own keep, and uncover his scam. hes human, and nothing more. but even this being so, he is still able to help these travelers. he helps Dorothy get back to her home in Kansas, and when she awakens she realizes she had never actually left but was unconscious in her bed. she had been hit in the head during the storm and dreamt the entire place. but the ironic points of this are the people she dreamt of are real, and happen to be the most important people of her life. she comes to realize tat she never needed to leave home to see what she had all along. she is perfectly happy with this as well, contempt within her own little life.

Reading Log
this week for my reading post, i had read the jungle book. i had rememebrred this movie from being a child, and decided to read it as if the intelectual level may have increased within the words. the book started off just as the movies, and introduces our tarzan like character. the concept that a child was raised by wolves and is taught life lessons from a bear seems completely rediculious, but gets the points of life across well. its as though the bear became more of a godlike figure in order to make a kid's life realistic or plausable to others. this creature taught the child what was needed in order to live or what could keep him alive out in the wilderness. it played the role of being a father to this kid, even though they could never really speak to each other. but that thought alone kind of makes this story depressing, you want the character to survive and live on even though his youth seems impossible to achieve. later on our main character in pushed, not into the wild, but into civilazation. he meets a girl, and meets the people who had apparently lived veery clsoe to him all of his life. it turns out though these people's intentions arent pure, and they plan to tear down parts of the jungle that house the animals that raised him. he becomes enraged and makes it his mission to save these creatures. he does so though, but only through the help of the animals and what theyve taught him, how to live. these infused "animal instincts" managed to save everything he knew, and the animals he called family. because a bear raised this man, his life was completely altered for the better. its as though tehe animal side of him got the better of him.

Reading log
This week I went ahead And read a section of frankenstein. I had read the entire book earlier in the year but was foggy in certain parts. I had readers portion where the monster begins to come to life yet again, but if frustraited and ao upset with himself. He had never realized that he truly was a monster and that no one wanted to w around him because of his appearance. He had gone ahead and began to learn everythin He could through reading and hearing the family he has been watching for weeks. he began to become just as intelligent as victor, if not smarter now..
From all of this I was able to grasp that his life has become a livin hell, and he's tryin to gain all knowledge to get back at victor, the right way. He was furious, frustraited, In agony, and torn from within. It's as though he has given up on life and a chance of normality, and accepted The fact he is truly a monster; a creature to roam the world in horror.

I'm the opening scene of Brave heart, our character is with his beloved wife on horse back. we see him in the happiest moments of his life, but shortly they are to be taken. shortly after his wife is murdered and William
Wallace, our tragic hero, begins to seek revenge. the death of his only true love dictated his life completely, and drove him to his own death. he begins to slowly build an army to retake the life of his fallen angel. he succeeds in the force but is ended up in enemy hands as a prisoner of war. the daughter of the man trying to kill this "brave heart" ends up sneaking to him in his cell which is his last moment of life. she begs him to take a poison so he'd feel no pain, but the fact that his own heart is now shattered, he sees no reason to live and spits it out. hes put onto the chopping board basically, tortured and mutilated in front of hundreds, and sees his own death. this inspires millions to rebel against the, now even more hated, English crown who was trying to engulf their land. they drive to victory in William's name.
the fact of the matter is that the deaths in this film hit home at the hearts of those around them. in consumes its relatives, and pushes them to the extremes in order to seek justice. William himself rose from the ashes of his widow and put the country on his shoulders to seek the revenge of his beloved. he drove to victory, he reclaimed his land, and he saved the names of thousands who died just as his wife did. his acts of heroism were born with the death of his closest love, and look what happened when his ow time was done; the country did the same.

Bright Day
By Stanley Moss b. 1925 Stanley Moss
I sing this morning: Hello, hello.
I proclaim the bright day of the soul.
The sun is a good fellow,
the devil is a good guy, no deaths today I know.
I live because I live. I do not die because I cannot die.
In Tuscan sunlight Masaccio
painted his belief that St. Peter’s shadow
cured a cripple, gave him back his sight.
I’ve come through eighty-five summers. I walk in sunlight.
In my garden, death questions every root, flowers reply.
I know the dark night of the soul
does not need God’s eye,
as a beggar does not need a hand or a bowl.
in the poem above, the aspect of death seems to be somewhat hidden within. the speaker tells the reader of his troubles and how he no longer fears death, or its upcoming. he speaks of his years , and how he still has plenty more. he tells a tale of how his own garden warns him, and feels the same as him in the lines, "I’ve come through eighty-five summers. I walk in sunlight. In my garden, death questions every root, flowers reply." he also whispers of the heavens and hell, as to how the devil wont claim him today nor god need to tell him when its his time. but through all these messages, death shows itself as an impending release, not so much a dreaded date. he speaks of St Peter, and how the saint cured a man's site only by letting his shadow cast upon him. through the Epiphany our speaker continues to show his fearlessness of the dark death seeking him here soon, and continues to show he enjoys living. death doesn't necessarily have to be a villainous shadow, but more as a ship seeking to only take you on. the end doesn't need to be bad, as this speaker has so boldly shown in his eighty-five years of breathing.

Reading log
Over spring break I had plenty of time to read a variety of books. But my favorite from this selection would have to be Alice in wonderland. I felt as though this book portrayed a greater message, or was most detailed. The details and descriptions of the characters and setting were flabbergasting. Through the book Alice is trying to basically discover herself within the dream she had been in. she enters this imaginary dream world and meets most of our background characters who are each a part of her or are suppose to lead her to the queen of the evil empire trying to consume the dreamy stated world. Throughout the bOok Alice encounters plenty of challenges to over come. At one point she's in a tea party, and the next thing you know she's a giant because she ate a cookie. Or maybe it was the flamboyant cat that mysteriously seems to know exactly what Alice needs at every point. In the end the queen challenges Alice to a game of croquay. Ironically this game is twisted as they are hitting porky pines as balls and using flambingos as clubs. Alice ended up being forced back into a state of reality from the queens rage from missing the last shot. When she awakens she seems happier or satisfied with herself. It's as though this opifiny awakens her from within herself. It's as though she took aspects of her life and made them events within the dreams, and from my knowledge the queen was her mother. But it seems as she has become content with her after this spark of twisted insanity is over.

Exercise #3
these reviews that i have read all seem to be composed in similar fashions. they almost always introduce the characters right away and then define the setting and plot. it basically seems like an informal guide of what to expect when reading this book, almost like bullet notes composed in a more stylish manner. these reviews seem to have a sense of blankness, almost like they were just composed after spot reading the book. but in the other hand, they seem to pay enough attention to the subject to give the readers an understanding of what is to come. i had read the reviews for The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, and The Davinci Code. they all seemed to be about the same genre, which probably didn't help differentiate the reviews much, but they were good. they seemed to be the definition that i have laid out. their information about the settings or plots were abrupt but very useful, and same with the introductions of characters. for both of these they only briefly described, if not at all, the characters with details. it basically always seemed to just be a summarized version of the book.
personally, i believe that a review should be somewhat like these ones that i have read. it needs to be informal but not too long, good set up and understanding of the material that the review covers, and shouldn't really have any inferences so it keeps its respect as a review, not so much a critique. it should end up looking something like the reading blogs we've been keeping, just leaving out the inferences.

Reading Log
this past week i went on into reading The Hobbit. my reasoning for choosing this book is because i had read the three lord of the rings books, as previously blogged about. this book was fairly good compared to the other three. it began with Bilbo Baggens and him going on an adventure through the smokey mountains and through the elvish cities. him and his crew of hobbits traveled through a brush of woods and stumbled upon a group of trolls, who ended up kidnapping these half lings. they ended up staying the night tied up, but during this the trolls were bickering and arguing on how they may go about cooking up the half sized humans for the best meal. this fighting ended up lasting so long that the sun came up, and turned the trolls to stone....
later on in this adventure, Bilbo ended up alone and lured into Gollum's cave. he ran across a ring though while walking through this deep crevice, and was mesmerized by its power to turn him invisible. now quietly walking through the cave, he ran into the creature who the ring previously belonged to. Bilbo, not wanting to give up the ring, asked the creature to guess what was in his pocket, and Gollum could have it. he gave him three tries, and all three times Gollum was wrong. mistakenly the creature calls the ring precious, not a ring, which ends up making him loose the ring.
this book was surprisingly good, and leads into the trilogy well. the way this book was written, and described through its details made it extremely easy, and exciting to read. id recommend this to most.

Note #1
In the story of Frankenstein, the concept of death in embedded deep throughout the entire novel. Most of the story revolves around victor and his mistake of reanimating dead tissue, which only causes his tissue to die in the end. His obsession with this monster he created pushes him to the extremes of this world. His creation causes all of his love ones to die, so in turn victor is the murderous villain behind all of this. He is the reason he dies. The monster goes about choking and massacre ring all of victor's family members because of victor not giving him a mate, but this is almost a paradox within victor. He wants to make another creature so he would be finally left alone and put to ease, but if he creates the second monster there would now be two hideous villains in this world.
The concepts of death that are pertruded through this novel show us that us, as a human, create and dictate our own lives and cause our own deaths in the end. The fact that victor brought the dead back to life also shows us that the dead are meant to be that way, because we will never know what could happen or what they come back as. In the end victors suffering is his own creation. He is the reason death took such an effect on his soul, his life, and everyone around him.

Exercise 1
in the excerpt from Cruddy, Lynda Barry gives her writing a somewhat depressing humor. her atmospheric tone depicts a sense that the world she begins to describe really could be cruddy. throughout the excerpt her style of writing continues to show her world as being depressing or not what she wants it to be. this is even clear in the first few lines; "once upon a cruddy time on a cruddy street on the side of a cruddy hill in the cruddiest part of a crudded-out town in a cruddy state, country, world, solar system, universe." the repetition of this "cruddiness" begins to portray a tone or poetic rhythm that amplifies the sulking mood. it makes the reader feel as though this book will be depressing or maybe even gives them the impression to feel sympathetic for the characters.

Thematic Statement
the theme i would like to follow would be the art of death. my reasoning behind this thinking is that it will be easy to analyze in depth and understand this topic very easily because of having to read most of this topic in English last quarter. we read Frankenstein last quarter, and i found it very good.the darkness and intellectual feel that comes with this topic is what amplified this topic for me. i found it to be really intriguing and i wanted to pursue it more, so this project could allow me to do so. ive looked up poems such as Not For That City by Charlotte Mew, and they just seem to keep backing up my thoughts and keep pulling me deeper into the topic. i cant wait to read more of this topic to see people's views of death.

reading responce ... Miricale
Earlier this week i had read a few articles relating to the 1980 miracle on ice, and figured I’d look into it more. i went back home and re watched the movie after revising these articles and found the storyline, the details, and the inspiration that was given by this film, to be almost a life altering realization. It was so crazy and fascinating that a group of college boys could defeat a team of grown Russians who played together for twenty some odd years. To think the time and effort they put into this miracle must have been so malicious and hectic. Coach Brookes drove them to a point of no return, and caused them to created bonds with one another that they would defeat the best team in the world as a family, or a group of individuals willing to sacrifice themselves for each other. He had pushed them so hard that the players began to get furious and agitated with him, but this only drew them closer in their hatred of him. They began to come together finally, and once the Olympics rolled around, they were unstoppable due to their determination and drive to achieve their goal of gold. Ironically though, the soviets came to the use 3 days before the opening ceremony and beat these college kids 10-1. This shock and realization caused them to almost awaken, or see what it will take to beat them and win. The young superstars blew through the qualifying rounds and made it to the metal rounds, only to play their favorite enemy. The game started off with a tie going into the second period, and this frustrated the Russian coach to the b\point he switched the two goalies. "He just sat the best goalie in the world," stated Brookes as he watched the backup come into the game. Going into the third though the Americans were down by one goal, and seeking anything to keep them alive. They paused and listen to what the crowds of millions of fans screamed, "USA, USA, USA... “This new determination drove them to score and win only by a hair of 4-3... The miracle was complete, and these boys had done what seemed nearly impossible for 20 years.

reading responce : Lord Of The Rings III
In this final episode of Lord of the Rings, our climax has been resolved and our characters survive. Frodo manages to make it a great distance after abandoning Sam, but is later reunited with him because Sam realized Frodo's mistake. There was a mini climax here though. Frodo was jabbed by the cave spider that protects the hidden stars, and Sam believes him to be dead when he found him. This mistake coasted him the chance to destroy the ring almost right away. Frodo was picked up by a bunch of works and was taken to a tower to be killed once awake. Sam took the ring at this point, and it seemed as though Frodo would be lost because of his imprisonment. Sam though comes to the rescue and saves Frodo before all hope was lost. Meanwhile, the rest of our members were defending the last keep before Salron, the great eye, could conquer the world. This brave triumph by man was a win in the long run due to the help of the undead army that owed their allegiance to Aragon, the hidden king of Gondor. The last push by man was a success, and seemed as though their victory over evil was in their grasp. All fate lied on Frodo and Sam now. As we see these two hobbits plundering through the barren tundra of ash the push of men gathered up their last forces and pushed towards the darkened gate of Mordor. They forced their enemy to face them head on at the gate, even though our heroes were greatly outnumbered. This last push by men gave Frodo and Sam the window they needed to make it through the plains of Mordor unnoticed and untouched. They reached their destination. Finally, Mount Doom, the creation place of the ring. When they made the final push up the mountain side though, Gollum returns from the deep, and begins to mall Sam and Frodo for the ring. Frantically Frodo escapes his grasp and runs into the mountain's entrance.
By this time Sam, Frodo, and Gollum have been in the mountain. Frodo decides not to destroy the ring though?.. The ring has gained control of our tragic hero. Gollum, who is driven by the ring, attacks Frodo. Frodo though is now wearing this gem. His soul is clear; Gollum took the ring back and finally has it to keep. Frodo and Gollum deck it out and both end up falling over the edge..... Our character barely holding on to the side of the cliff is risen up by Sam. Gollum though, wasn’t lucky enough. He fell into the lava with the ring. The ring was gone, destroyed, and wiped evil of this world. Sam and Frodo frantically escape their fate of lava and destruction. The story is over... the ring is gone and so was the evil covering the world. It was all saved..
This trilogy is now over, and I feel as though the books covered it much better than the movies did. I was very pleased with it all, but wish I had read the hobbit beforehand....

Life, and other slightly less important things http://hhslax36.blogspot.com/
The final scene of caddyshack shows many things, from the triumphant dancing of a crudely constructed gopher puppet to the goofy actions and words a boistorous Rodney Dangerfield(as Al Czervik) to the violent and slightly disturbed demeanor of the greenskeeper Carl Spackler played by Bill Murray.
"If it was it would not have cemented itself as one of the most popular comedies of all time"

Reading Responce : Lord Of The Rings II
this week i went about reading the second section of the lord of the rings trilogy. this book was a bit longer, but had so much more of the entire story unfolding. we start off seeing our characters separated and trying to go about keeping their world alive. the main focus though is on froto and sam as they dig and trudge through the terrines being led by gollum. the farther they set on their mission to destroy the ring, we see how twisted our mutated creature is. hes been tormented by so much and contorted from a hobbit into a thing of pure pity. through out this book we see sam turning against him because he didn't pity gollum like froto did. this begins to tear froto and sam apart causing almost a mini climax throughout the book. meanwhile while our two heroes are trying to destroy what seems to be the last of all evil, we have gimley, lagolas, and arrogon escorted with many others trying to advance on a near coming battle that could wipe out most of the world. if they fail to succeed, their world as they know will turn to hatred, evil, and death. this book seems to be leading me on to believe that maybe someone could fail, but be saved. or the possibility that our characters come through and save each others lives. i will continue this trilogy, and see what comes of this building climax of total destruction.
inference #4
In the picture above its obvious what the scene is. This is a sight of bewildering glimpses of light breaking through a mirror of clouds above the ocean and beach. The sun being completely blocked out by these smallish tuffs of clouds gives the effect of almost an explosion above the water flaring into the sand. The sand also has somewhat of a mirror effect by being slightly moist. In the focal point of this image taken, the water is breaking and rushing back towards the view given. If letting the focal point take control of this image, the rushing water leads into this blackened out explosive boarder surrounding the image giving this picture a more of a contrast of the lighter and darker values.
What could be made from this picture above could simply be the artist exadurating the contrasts of the gloomy ocean and the brilliant flares of the solar rays. The artist chose this peak of the day because the sun was completely blocked out, but the shot still has the brilliance as though the sun was peaking through. Its almost as though the photographer was trying to suggest parts of life can be hidden, but mean so much. As eyes wonder through the screen the black explosive boarder appears more ubrupt as though trying to stress the focal point on the waves reflection of the sun. its obvious that this boarder was added in after the shot was taken, almost like the artist knew what they were trying to accomplish by doing so. Its as though they’re suggesting life can be so dark and misleading, like how the picture doesn’t show if the water is rushing in or out, but if focused on the highlights, the sunlights, life can be so much better almost like a paradise hidden behind the darkness.

podcast inference #3
At the beginning of this podcast, one of the main characters is introduced, and explained. This podcast then informs us that Mr. Durrell is an orchestra teacher, and absolutely loves jazz music like he has for most of his life. But then the problem unfolds and clues are given as to why he may not like his job as much. The kids in his class hate orchestra. The students he has in class treat it as almost a time to slack off in certain situations, but still attend. almost like his class is a blow off class. This kills him, like it would any teacher. This drives him the point of wanting to quit and tell them to not bother practicing anymore.
Later on in this podcast, a second story and set of characters are introduced. David Sedaris was a young boy who had a father with a dream for his kids. His dad wanted David and his two sisters to become something great, and tried everything to make it work. He gave his kids instruments and took them to lessons. This only led him to find out none of them wanted to even deal with it because he pushed so hard to achieve what he wanted them to become.
These two segments contrast almost completely it appears. Both, Mr. Durrell and Mr. Sedaris love music and want it to impact the world and their kids, but had two different sides to this argument. Mr. Durrell practically gave up on his kids and was about to cancel what they worked for which was their state compition. This would have devastated the kids, like they had been doing to him. But on the other hand, Mr. Sedaris practically smother his kids in order to make them famous and great musicians rather than take it slowly and allow them to actually learn and develope as mucusians. It's as though there can’t be a happy middle of effort given by the kids and by the mentors in these cases. In a way it's as though the two were both poles, one forcing the kids to come together by showing them what they could lose and the other pushing them away by showing them what they could become. My Durrell used his class’s soft spot to get them to work together. Unfortunately for Mr. Sedaris, his drive only ended in a crash.

i chose the picture above because of the simplistic of the beauty that is portrayed. the color contrasts of the sky to the ground are very similar, almost as thought the two are congruent and meet at one point. to see the 4 different moons/planets is very scifi like as well. usually we'd never see anything like this, which gives it the element of a dream.

similar to the first picture i posted above, this almost has a complete dream affect to it. the concept that a rundown old house in the middle of this Field with a view like that is kind of crazy. makes you wonder if there's anyone there to enjoy it. also we see the field blowing in he wind, but in the back the windmill isn't turning, so again its almost a scifi element. the change from the greens to golds and straight up (literally) to such royal blues is very eye catching.

in the picture above we see almost a rainforest's beach. it has the effect of being Erie and almost isolated as if lost in the middle of the rain forest. but then again, we have the water and what appears to beach somewhat of a rocky beach. as you look past the trees on the other side of the water, we see the mist rolling in calmly as though the day has ended, and the horrors of night are coming out. the fact u barely make out the mountain in the background adds to that Erie effect. even though we had that effect of maybe being jumped by the boogie man, we see the breaking of the sunlight coming through.

Reading response
This week I have read Lord of the Rings part one. This book is kinda old but is still
One of my favorites. In this book we see frodo grow as acharacter and become more and a sort of an icon for the goodness in this world as we see evil come around it. It starts off with our characters in the Shire and Frodos uncle finding the ring and wanting to leave. Gandolf takes the ring abc gives it to frodo. Had him Hoff it from the world. I found this odd because something of such importance had to be hidden from everyone to see. gandolf makes frodo leave the shire in order to destroy the ring from the world which would save all goodness in this world.they Are hunted on their escape and reach Bree in order to meet Gandolf to leave it wit him. Gandolf never comes and Frodo's hunters finally catch him. Luckily he escapes and runs away to the elvish country. Here they meet many different races of people and decide the fate of the ring. The rings Evil destroys them all and Frodo is forced to take the ring to its death. Throughout this book we see many instances of goodness against evil and we later on begin to see the plot unfold. And we see frodo having to destroy the ring to save humanity and his world from evil. This book gives us many instances of where emotions can come over evil any day. from this we see that Frodo is a lot stronger than any of the characters within this book.

This group of images found on stumble upon were simply crazy. It shows the contrast of our past as a country in a rustic ruined state of chaos. It seems to be the ghost ships of pearl harbor and what they look as today, broken and beaten down like the souls we lost that day. We see how everything's on the verge of destruction and from collapsing upon itself. It gives these images almost a sense of excited horror where the scene of pictures showing the divers going through the ruins and exploring as though the screams and echoes of our fallen can still be heard by those who take the time to listen. The undisturbed coffins of the United States soldiers seem to be one of the last places of peace and tranquility, even though whats left is destroyed scrap metal. The contrast between what these ships were, and what they are now, is crazy. Time really doesn't heal everything.

Podcast Response : Music Lessons
at the beginning of this podcast we see one of our characters be introduced, and explained. we are informed Mr. Durrell is an orchistra teacher and absolutely loves jazz music. but we see where he may not like his job as much, the kids hate it. tnhe students he has treat his class as almost a time to slack off in certain situations, but still attend. this kills him, and drives him the point of wanting to quit and tell them to not bother. later on in this podcast we have a different story, and character.David Sedaris was a young boy who had a father with a dream. his dad wanted david and his two sisters to become something great, and tried everything to make it work. he gave them instruments and took them to lessons, only to find out none of them wanted to even deal with it. these two segments contrast almost completely. both, mr. durrell and mr. sedaris, loved music and wanted it to impact the world but had two different sides to this argument. Mr Durrell practically gave up on his kids and was abou to cancel what they worked for. But on the other hand we see mr Sedaris practically smoother his kids to become famous and great musicians. It's as though there cant be a happy middle of effort given by the kids and by the mentors. In a way it's as though the two were both poles, one forcing the kids to come together with music ad the other pushing them away. My durrell found his classes weakness by telling them he'd cancel state. And then you have mr Sedaris pushing his kids so hard to be the best he turns them away from it all.

final readings of the davinci code.
ive come to the end of this book and am in aww as to how it all wraps up. after our characters were chased they continued to persivere and ended up in back in one of the first churches they started in. Langston and Sophie look about the place and remember that sir isaac newton was a Templar. They approach his tomb wit the scriptex in hand and realize wat the code could be. Newtons greatest findings... Gravity. And how he went about discovering it was by an apple falling from a tree.... Langston realizes it. But before he gets the chance to open it the "father" approaches them at gun point and takes them towards the back. Secretively Langston cracked the code. He grabbed the secret and fOoled their enraged friend by breaking the criptex infront of them all. They escape and go about the city and find the resting place of the mother Mary.. She's gone.... The secret was lost and would never be found. Sophie is unite wit her family and langston leaves... It dawns on him later tht night tho. He remembers the rose line (blood line).. He follows it and realizes he was underneith them the entire time. She was where this whole case began back in the louv.. She was always safe. And he now was the only one to kno..
I'd recommend this book to all.. It truly was a great mystery of religion and what could be happening right now in our world. One word to describe it. Astonishing

Solitaire to a new level? Believe so. Every time a game is won, it always ends in this explosion of cards flying out of the screen and almost into the lap of the player. This artist took this to a whole new level of computer / reality intuity. The sculpture literally represents a freeze frame of the "congradulations" screen of solitaire. To understand the time it could have taken to make such a piece of art that has clearly defined the laws of our dementions would be almost as hard to make the piece. Its such a simple concept, but the result is really flabbergasting. As anyone can see, the computer screen is present in the background just like the actual game, but here it is almost as though a school of tuna rushed off the page in such a frantic manner that the fisherman caught them red handed. The green screen literally is engulfed wit these cards. Give the artist props for accomplishing such a puzzling task of taking an everyday solitaire and turning it into a waterfall of hearts, spades, diamonds, and clubs.

davinci code, part 4
Im coming close to finishing this book and im flabbergasted. They’ve cracked the idea of what the cryptex holds, but have no clue what the password could be. Sophie and Robert have now come to one of Robert’s oldest friends who happen to be a priory fen. He discusses with Robert what the password could be but they have no real idea except that they must go back into the city of Paris and investigate the church where sir Isaac newton was buried. They are planning out their attack to accomplish this task when one of the butlers enters the room and tell the group that the police are at the gate and aware the fugitives were there. They sneak out the back door just in time to escape the police but now the heat is on, and they have nothing to help them figure out this huge mystery except a single lead…

Implicit idea of heaven and hell..
http://www.angelsanddemonsmovie.org/
In the movie, Angels and Demons, we see the contrast of heaven and hell, the church and the illuminati, and the existence of good and evil. We see in detail how the church could possibly be corrupted, which would me in turn that everyone is corrupted but yet unaware. In this picture alone, we can see how well and evil can stand side by side forever, and not even realize it.
In the movie, we see the plot unfold to a point where the church is falling over itself. The illuminati come from, literally, underneath the church. The catholic religion has literally been ruined by what they believed to be clergy members, their own kind. Their whole debate through the movie was a state of authority, which is really right. The illuminati believe in evolution, and obviously the other side of the argument has been made.
This picture that i have found is a prime example of what the movie was showing us. The contrast of the pure and the deceptive is shown so clear in this half-half statue of a demon and an angel. The thought that the illuminati have been infused with the church is mind boggling. To believe that the base of our world could possibly be corrupted upon itself is sickening. By looking behind the statue we see St. Peters in the Vatican City in complete darkness, almost as though no hope is left for the Vatican and the buildings have been put to ruin with satanic evils. Yet we see a break of light, only enough to lighten the half of the statue which is the angel. This almost portrays a sense of hope through this empty square...

Davinci Code.... 3rd post
This book has completely engulfed me, menatally and physically. to start off this post, our main characters have tried to escape the police by entering an armord truck to escape the bank unnoticed. Robert has now realized what they have taken from their vault is a cryptex. a container filed with a secret message, but if you try to open it without unlocking it, the message is gone forever. i dont know what to think anymore. ive seen the movie, which ruins the element of surprise, but this book sems to take a hold of you in a completely different manner. Later on in the story, Sophie begins to realize that what theyve been searching for, the holy grail, isnt an item. She realized it must be a person, Mary, the mother of jesus christ. this book has now completely unfolled before me. the plot has bee relieved that theyve been searching for an icon that could put the church away. if they find Mary, theyve uncovered that jesus christ was real, and that the world is what it was described as then,. The templars have basically erased themselves from the world in order to hide this one secrect... i must continue to read

Friday's post...
so far i feel like the two blogs to stand out to me are: Life, and other slightly less important things, and Organized Chaos. they both seem to have acceptional descripting skills. i feel like in Organized Chaos their grasp of music was astounding. their metaphorical breakdowns seems flawless.
Dead Poet's Society
I believe Organized Chaos had the best description of this movie. its use of heritage and its diction were great. words like, "architecture," and "smirk," kept me interested. honestly i feel like if i were to be blind and read this passage, id feel like i were disolved into the screen.

the Davinci Code... Continued
To start off, Mr. Langstrom is within the Louvre working with French policemen. They are trying to decifer the clues around who killed the caretaker and how the Caretaker died. Mr. Langstrom had an appt. with the caretaker earlier that day but obviously he never showed up. Due to these complications the police turn to Langstrom in order to see if he cant help them in their search to find out just how he died. Meanwhile the organization plotting against the Caretaker and his society are busy trying to figure out just what their next move is in finding out the big "secret". This secret becomes more and more interesting as i read this book it seems. it seems as though both of these groups are teaming against each other in ways unthinkable. it seems that the everyone is puzzled as to what will happen next, or what to do. i feel as though this mystery is becoming more complex and nearly impossible to decode.

Dead Poets Society
In the film Dead Poets Society, made famous by Peter Weir, we see the contrasts of youth and age very prominent here. To start off this film, we see a few boys dressed in their school uniforms, which almost look like classic, casual business attire we’d see from the early 1900’s. This leads to a ceremony to open the school, which in itself looks like a very elderly church full of candles, murals, and the students, and faculty, all looking depressed or more dreading if anything. After this ceremony, we are introduced to this new English teacher. He’s younger compared to the rest of his peers, but seems like he could be smarter in his ways of teaching or relating to his students. He has a positive, or witty, vibe to him that portrays his age well. After all of this, we see the parents beginning to leave; and outside of the school the kids seem to be full of life again. They begin to talk and smile, almost as if they had shed a layer of mechanical flaws. With some of these details you can almost make the inference that maybe this new English teacher will find a way to bring his students back to life within the morning walls of the school.

The Davinci Code
The book begins with an opener that sort of shocked me. It began inside the Louvre where the caretaker is being chased by a man named Saul. Why he is chasing him, I have no clue; but he eventually catches up to him. To say the least, he kills him, but slowly with a bullet to the stomach. After that, the book shifts and we find ourselves in the hotel room of a famous religious symbolic decipher. His name is Robert Langdon and he is in Paris to give a very important speech for some college kids. He doesn't seem too happy with what he is doing though but I guess that will be revealed later. Well after all of that the cops show up at his hotel room, at what I believe late in the night, to wakes him up. He finds out that the Louvre caretaker had been murdered by an unknown assailant (Saul). So we will see how this whole thing will unfold. I suppose even though I just started the book it is extremely interesting and there is definitely a mystery underlined. The Da Vinci code has progressed pretty fast. I have found out about the organization that leads against all of the people trying to hide "the secret" from them. They have been battling for what seems like centuries. The leaders of the organization are worldwide and are a "Christian" religion. Their methods are for a lack of a better word sacra-religious. They have been labeled as a cult because of some of the things that have been discovered about the group. One includes a man brainwashing all of the followers with drugs to make them think they have seen a divine spirit of some kind. The secret is still unclear but it’s a pretty big one according to all this evidence that is being revealed. Such evidence is; we find the caretaker sprawled out all over the floor with symbols and a hidden message within his corpse.
The book has a certain twisted view on life and everything that goes on within the organization. Along with that this secret that everyone seems to be after, it’s very interesting knowing that Leonardo Da Vinci knew something that everyone else didn’t. It has an almost multi-dimensioned feeling to it and I’m excited to see what else is in store for the organization of this insane plot.

Me... in a nutshell
Where to begin, where to begin, with all honesty i am not much of a reader nor do i care to read. From my early years of trying and being able to read, Ive had troubles and had multiple tutors o try and make myself the best reader i could be. i feel as though I'm dyslexic sometimes, like when i begin to let myself loose focus or if i didn't sleep the night before. in my earlier years i loved to read the series magic tree house, and other stories along those lines. i never really was able to keep up to the reading level i was truly suppose to be in, but i did enjoy what i was reading. i remember in forth grade when my teacher suggested to me, what is now my all time favorite series, goosebumps. i love to read horror or science fiction like what these books produced. it was catchy, and hooking. the stories details kept me intrigued till i realized maybe a forth grader's book isn't cut out for someone going into their 7th grade year. after this point though i haven't really found books to catch my eye like goosebumps did, but i did continue to read books that sounded similar in their genres and descriptions. during my years in middle school and high school, Ive kinda lost interest in reading outside of school, and haven't had the time to mostly. i was hoping, by taking this class, to be able to expand my varieties and likes within reading, my diction, and my tolerance with reading. by this i mean how much i can read before going insane. hopefully by this summer ill be up to par, and able to read willingly without being frustrated or bothered by the books i read.
stay tuned , its only begun
