Reading Responce : Lord Of The Rings II
this week i went about reading the second section of the lord of the rings trilogy. this book was a bit longer, but had so much more of the entire story unfolding. we start off seeing our characters separated and trying to go about keeping their world alive. the main focus though is on froto and sam as they dig and trudge through the terrines being led by gollum. the farther they set on their mission to destroy the ring, we see how twisted our mutated creature is. hes been tormented by so much and contorted from a hobbit into a thing of pure pity. through out this book we see sam turning against him because he didn't pity gollum like froto did. this begins to tear froto and sam apart causing almost a mini climax throughout the book. meanwhile while our two heroes are trying to destroy what seems to be the last of all evil, we have gimley, lagolas, and arrogon escorted with many others trying to advance on a near coming battle that could wipe out most of the world. if they fail to succeed, their world as they know will turn to hatred, evil, and death. this book seems to be leading me on to believe that maybe someone could fail, but be saved. or the possibility that our characters come through and save each others lives. i will continue this trilogy, and see what comes of this building climax of total destruction.
