Davinci Code.... 3rd post

This book has completely engulfed me, menatally and physically. to start off this post, our main characters have tried to escape the police by entering an armord truck to escape the bank unnoticed. Robert has now realized what they have taken from their vault is a cryptex. a container filed with a secret message, but if you try to open it without unlocking it, the message is gone forever. i dont know what to think anymore. ive seen the movie, which ruins the element of surprise, but this book sems to take a hold of you in a completely different manner. Later on in the story, Sophie begins to realize that what theyve been searching for, the holy grail, isnt an item. She realized it must be a person, Mary, the mother of jesus christ. this book has now completely unfolled before me. the plot has bee relieved that theyve been searching for an icon that could put the church away. if they find Mary, theyve uncovered that jesus christ was real, and that the world is what it was described as then,. The templars have basically erased themselves from the world in order to hide this one secrect... i must continue to read

Friday's post...

so far i feel like the two blogs to stand out to me are: Life, and other slightly less important things, and Organized Chaos. they both seem to have acceptional descripting skills. i feel like in Organized Chaos their grasp of music was astounding. their metaphorical breakdowns seems flawless.

Dead Poet's Society
I believe Organized Chaos had the best description of this movie. its use of heritage and its diction were great. words like, "architecture," and "smirk," kept me interested. honestly i feel like if i were to be blind and read this passage, id feel like i were disolved into the screen.

the Davinci Code... Continued

To start off, Mr. Langstrom is within the Louvre working with French policemen. They are trying to decifer the clues around who killed the caretaker and how the Caretaker died. Mr. Langstrom had an appt. with the caretaker earlier that day but obviously he never showed up. Due to these complications the police turn to Langstrom in order to see if he cant help them in their search to find out just how he died. Meanwhile the organization plotting against the Caretaker and his society are busy trying to figure out just what their next move is in finding out the big "secret". This secret becomes more and more interesting as i read this book it seems. it seems as though both of these groups are teaming against each other in ways unthinkable. it seems that the everyone is puzzled as to what will happen next, or what to do. i feel as though this mystery is becoming more complex and nearly impossible to decode.

Dead Poets Society

In the film Dead Poets Society, made famous by Peter Weir, we see the contrasts of youth and age very prominent here. To start off this film, we see a few boys dressed in their school uniforms, which almost look like classic, casual business attire we’d see from the early 1900’s. This leads to a ceremony to open the school, which in itself looks like a very elderly church full of candles, murals, and the students, and faculty, all looking depressed or more dreading if anything. After this ceremony, we are introduced to this new English teacher. He’s younger compared to the rest of his peers, but seems like he could be smarter in his ways of teaching or relating to his students. He has a positive, or witty, vibe to him that portrays his age well. After all of this, we see the parents beginning to leave; and outside of the school the kids seem to be full of life again. They begin to talk and smile, almost as if they had shed a layer of mechanical flaws. With some of these details you can almost make the inference that maybe this new English teacher will find a way to bring his students back to life within the morning walls of the school.

The Davinci Code

The book begins with an opener that sort of shocked me. It began inside the Louvre where the caretaker is being chased by a man named Saul. Why he is chasing him, I have no clue; but he eventually catches up to him. To say the least, he kills him, but slowly with a bullet to the stomach. After that, the book shifts and we find ourselves in the hotel room of a famous religious symbolic decipher. His name is Robert Langdon and he is in Paris to give a very important speech for some college kids. He doesn't seem too happy with what he is doing though but I guess that will be revealed later. Well after all of that the cops show up at his hotel room, at what I believe late in the night, to wakes him up. He finds out that the Louvre caretaker had been murdered by an unknown assailant (Saul). So we will see how this whole thing will unfold. I suppose even though I just started the book it is extremely interesting and there is definitely a mystery underlined. The Da Vinci code has progressed pretty fast. I have found out about the organization that leads against all of the people trying to hide "the secret" from them. They have been battling for what seems like centuries. The leaders of the organization are worldwide and are a "Christian" religion. Their methods are for a lack of a better word sacra-religious.  They have been labeled as a cult because of some of the things that have been discovered about the group. One includes a man brainwashing all of the followers with drugs to make them think they have seen a divine spirit of some kind. The secret is still unclear but it’s a pretty big one according to all this evidence that is being revealed. Such evidence is; we find the caretaker sprawled out all over the floor with symbols and a hidden message within his corpse.
The book has a certain twisted view on life and everything that goes on within the organization. Along with that this secret that everyone seems to be after, it’s very interesting knowing that Leonardo Da Vinci knew something that everyone else didn’t. It has an almost multi-dimensioned feeling to it and I’m excited to see what else is in store for the organization of this insane plot.

Me... in a nutshell

Where to begin, where to begin, with all honesty i am not much of a reader nor do i care to read. From my early years of trying and being able to read, Ive had troubles and had multiple tutors o try and make myself the best reader i could be. i feel as though I'm dyslexic sometimes, like when i begin to let myself loose focus or if i didn't sleep the night before. in my earlier years i loved to read the series magic tree house, and other stories along those lines. i never really was able to keep up to the reading level i was truly suppose to be in, but i did enjoy what i was reading. i remember in forth grade when my teacher suggested to me, what is now my all time favorite series, goosebumps. i love to read horror or science fiction like what these books produced. it was catchy, and hooking. the stories details kept me intrigued till i realized maybe a forth grader's book isn't cut out for someone going into their 7th grade year. after this point though i haven't really found books to catch my eye like goosebumps did, but i did continue to read books that sounded similar in their genres and descriptions. during my years in middle school and high school, Ive kinda lost interest in reading outside of school, and haven't had the time to mostly. i was hoping, by taking this class, to be able to expand my varieties and likes within reading, my diction, and my tolerance with reading. by this i mean how much i can read before going insane. hopefully by this summer ill be up to par, and able to read willingly without being frustrated or bothered by  the books i read.

stay tuned , its only begun

hmmm..

So begins the course of etymology
